Professional Lipspeaker providing clear communication support across Kent and the South East
FAQs
-
Lipspeaking is a communication support service for people who rely on lipreading. I repeat what is being said silently using clear lip patterns, natural facial expressions and gesture where appropriate, making speech easier to understand.

Yes, I provide support across Kent, the South East and the UK. Please get in touch to discuss your location.
For greater flexibility, I also offer remote lipspeaking bookings via online platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Online support can be an effective option for meetings, appointments, interviews, training, and other virtual events.
Whether your booking is in person or online, I'll work with you to find the most suitable arrangement for your communication needs.

No. Lipspeaking is different from British Sign Language (BSL), so I don't communicate using BSL.
That said, I do use BSL fingerspelling, alongside natural gestures and facial expressions, where they help to support understanding. These visual cues can make names, technical terms, and important information much easier to follow, while keeping the spoken message clear, accurate, and accessible.
As every deaf or hard of hearing person communicates differently, I always adapt my support to meet the individual's needs
